Pedestrian fatally injured, NSW

Investigations are underway following a fatal pedestrian crash in Berkeley Vale yesterday evening, NSW Police say.

About 9.15pm (Friday 24 August 2018), emergency services were called to Wyong Road near Pindarri Avenue, Berkeley Vale, after reports a woman was struck by a vehicle.

The pedestrian, a 60-year-old woman, died at the scene.

Initial inquiries suggest the woman was crossing Wyong Road, when she was hit by a Holden travelling in an easterly direction.

The driver, a 69-year-old man, was uninjured and taken to Wyong Hospital to undergo mandatory testing.

Officers from Tuggerah Lakes Police District will prepare a report for the Coroner.
