A 69-year-old woman is in a critical condition after she was hit by a car in Richmond this afternoon, Victoria Police say.
Police have been told a woman was crossing Church Street near Highett Street about 4pm.
It is believed a grey Mitsubishi Lancer sedan was turning left onto Church Street from Highett Street when the woman was struck.
A Richmond woman received serious injuries and was taken to hospital.
The driver, a woman aged in her 20s is assisting police with their enquiries.
Richmond police are investigating and are keen to speak to any witnesses or anyone in the area at the time.
