Pedestrian injured in Dover Heights crash dies in hospital

A woman injured when she was struck by a motorbike at Dover Heights on Wednesday has died in hospital.

About 6.35pm (Wednesday 26 December 2018), a 70-year-old woman was crossing Military Road, Dover Heights, when she was struck by a southbound motorcycle.

The woman received serious head injuries and was taken to St Vincent's Hospital in a critical condition.

The 29-year-old male motorcyclist was taken to St Vincent's Hospital for non-life threatening injuries. He was subject to mandatory tests.

This afternoon (Friday 28 December 2018), the woman died in hospital.

A report will be prepared for the Coroner and inquiries into the crash continue.
