Police are currently at the scene of a fatal collision in St Albans.
It is believed a male pedestrian was struck by a vehicle near the corner of Main Road East and Erica Avenue just after 9pm.
A passer-by called emergency services but the yet to be identified male died at the scene.
The vehicle did not stop to render assistance and is yet to be located.
Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives are en route.
