Perth Market Snapshot: Week Ending Jan 4, 2026

Sales transactions in Perth last week were down 61.2 per cent on the previous week, with REIWA members reporting 143 transactions. A closer look shows house sales were down 60.6 per cent compared to the week prior, unit sales were down 63 per cent and land sales were down 63 per cent.

Perth's highest sale price: Rockingham – $1,300,000

Perth's lowest sale price: Lathlain – $550,000

There were 1,862 properties for sale in Perth at the end of last week, which is 5.9 per cent lower than the previous week. This can be attributed to house listings decreasing 5.7 per cent compared to the week prior, unit listings decreasing 6.2 per cent and listings for vacant land decreasing 6.2 per cent.

Last week's total figure of properties available for sale is 32.5 per cent lower than four weeks ago and 56.8 per cent lower than levels seen a year ago.

In Perth's rental market, REIWA members reported there were 1,755 properties for rent in Perth at the end of last week, which is similar to the week prior. Last week's rental listings figure is 23 per cent lower than four weeks ago and 9.3 per cent lower than a year ago.

REIWA members reported 254 properties leased last week, which is 30.6 per cent lower than the previous week and 62.5 per cent lower than four weeks ago but 5 per cent higher than a year ago.
