Pet owners Connection Day heads to Elizabeth
Playford pet owners are invited to attend a Community Connections Day hosted by Safe Pets Safe Families, with support from the City of Playford and funding from the Dog and Cat Management Board.

The event will take place on Wednesday, 15 October 2025, from 11:30am to 2:30pm at Fremont Park.

Dog owners with a concession card can access free microchipping, while non-concession holders will only have to pay $10. Playford residents wishing to access microchipping are encouraged to book early, with limited places available.

Animal owners will also be able to access a range of services and advice to support responsible pet ownership. Every registered participant will also receive a free goody bag.

Free activities and support include:

• Sausage sizzle and giveaways

• Pet health and behaviour advice

• Guidance on desexing, registration and microchipping options

• Information about eligibility for free veterinary visits

• Financial options to assist with the cost of caring for pets

This event is for all pet owners, offering practical support to keep pets safe, healthy and happy. Friendly on-leash dogs are welcome.

Mayor Glenn Docherty praised the initiative for its positive impact on the community.
