Up to 20 elite basketballers are visiting Central Goldfields Shire this week from the South-East Melbourne Phoenix basketball team which is hosting their pre-season camp in Maryborough.
From today to Thursday 8 August, the basketball team are set to visit local schools, Maryborough District Health Service, and have open training sessions each morning from 10am in the Maryborough Sports and Leisure Centre's Matthew Dellavedova basketball stadium.
During the pre-season camp, players will have the opportunity to participate in the Great Race around Central Goldfields Shire before hosting school clinics on Wednesday 7 August at the Matthew Dellavedova Stadium.
These activities will allow the community to share in the experience of the visit.
