Pilatus PC-24, D-CMSL

This statement provides an update on the AAIB investigation into an incident involving a Pilatus PC-24, G-CMSL, near Liverpool Airport, on 9 December 2022.

Following departure from Liverpool Airport, the elevator controls became stiff as the aircraft approached its cruising altitude, resulting in an uncommanded descent of 800 ft. The flight crew successfully applied the Quick Reference Handbook procedure for jammed elevator controls and full elevator control was regained during the descent. The investigation is ongoing, and the final report is expected to be published in early 2024.
