Planned water interruption for Hallidays Point

MidCoast Council

Residents in parts of Hallidays Point will experience an interruption to their water supply on Thursday 29 April while MidCoast Council repairs a number of stop valves in the area.

The town water supply will be isolated at various points to undertake the critical repair work, with the interruption expected to begin at 8:30am and finish at around 3:30pm.

"This work is critical and while we know it's an inconvenience, it's important we get these repairs done in a planned way to reduce the risks of a much longer interruption in the future," said Council's Director of Infrastructure and Engineering Services, Rob Scott.

It is expected that residents in the following areas will experience no water pressure at some time throughout the day:

  • The Lakes Way (from Big Buzz to Timbertops Drive)
  • Chelmsbrook Drive
  • Timbertops Drive
  • Blackhead Road (from The Lakes Way to the Tallwoods roundabout)
  • Federation Drive
  • Homestead Estate

"We apologise for the inconvenience and urge customers who experience any issues as a result of the shutdown to contact our Customer Service Team on 7955 7777," said Mr Scott.
