Hallidays Point's water supply will be interrupted on Wednesday March 24 while MidCoast Council repairs air valve and stop valve assets in the area.

This will involve isolating the town water supply at various points to undertake the critical repair work and will mean some parts of Hallidays Point and the surrounding area will be without water pressure throughout the day.

The interruption will begin at 8:30am and is expected to continue until around 3:30pm.

"This work is critical and while we know it's an inconvenience, it's important we get these repairs done in a planned way to reduce the risks of a much longer interruption in the future," said Council's Director of Infrastructure and Engineering Services, Rob Scott.

It is expected that residents in the following areas will experience no water pressure throughout the day:

• Blackhead Road turnoff to 1340 The Lakes Way

• Blackhead Road (from The Lakes Way intersection to the Tallwoods roundabout)

• Federation Drive

• Homestead Estate.

"We apologise for the inconvenience and urge customers who experience any issues as a result of the shutdown to contact our Customer Service Team on 7955 7777," said Mr Scott.
