Planning begins for Orange's newest festival

A committee has started work to plan the latest event in Orange's suite of annual festivals.

In March, Council called for expressions of interest in from local residents interested in organising a new festival. The council was awarded a government grant of $20,000 to act as seed funding for the event, aimed at celebrating and supporting the supporting the LGBTQI community,

Planning has now begun for a multi-day festival in May 2020 to be called the Rainbow City Festival.

Organisers are planning for a series of events that will be family-friendly and inclusive.
