Outdoor planter boxes are now in place along Broadway outside the Golden Grain Café, Railway Hotel, Country Kitchen, All Day on Broadway and feature Nandina and Cordilyne plants as well as an ornamental olive shrub.
Made possible thanks to funding from the State Government’s Outdoor Eating and Entertainment Package, the planter boxes are aimed at supporting the hospitality industry to rebuild from the economic and social impacts of the pandemic.
All components of the boxes have been purchased or made locally. The timber was sourced from Talbot Timbers, plants from Carramar Nursery with construction by Maryborough Education Centre students.
