Point 190 in Point Cook

Police have charged a 35-year-old man after his car crashed into the front of a house in Point Cook on Tuesday night (30 July).

The vehicle was travelling along Saltwater Promenade when it struck a tree on the nature strip before hitting the pillar of a home about 11.15pm.

The Melbourne man was arrested at the scene and underwent a breath test where he allegedly blew .190.

He was charged with drink driving, careless driving, speeding, refusing an oral fluid test, driving an unregistered vehicle and his licence was immediately suspended.

He was bailed to appear at Werribee Magistrates' Court on 11 November.

The occupants of the home were not injured.
