Police appeal after armed robbery, assault - Annandale

Police are appealing for the public's help after an armed robbery in Sydney's Inner West yesterday.

About 11.30pm (Wednesday 15 January 2020), police attached to Leichhardt Police Area Command were called to Parramatta Road, Annandale following reports a man was injured in an armed robbery.

Police were told two men, one armed with a large knife and another with a bat, entered the business, assaulted a 31-year-old man and took cash before fleeing.

The man was taken to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

A crime scene is in place and inquiries continue.

Police are appealing for any witnesses who may have been in the area or have dashcam footage to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
