Police appeal after armed robbery - Central Coast

Police are appealing for public information following an armed robbery on the state's Central Coast this morning.

About 2am today (Saturday 4 December 2021), three men were fishing at the North Entrance Boat ramp, off Wilfred Barrett Drive, when they observed a white sedan halt nearby before rapidly reversing and taking off at speed toward the Entrance Bridge.

A short time later, three men – armed with a firearm, knife and scissors – attended the location, and threatened the men.

The group stole personal items and cash before fleeing the area on foot.

The fishermen were not physically injured during the incident.

Detectives from Tuggerah Lakes Police District were notified a short time later and commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

As inquires continue, police would like to speak with three men who may be able to assist with ongoing investigations.

All three men are described as being aged in their early 20's, about 170-180cm tall, with an olive complexion and speaking with a Middle Eastern accent.

Anyone with information about this incident is urged to contact Crime Stoppers: 1800 333 000 or https://nsw.crimestoppers.com.au. Information is treated in strict confidence. The public is reminded not to report information via NSW Police social media pages.
