Police appeal after arson in Enfield

Police are appealing for public assistance following a suspicious fire at Enfield, NSW Police say.

About 4am today (Friday 30 November 2018) emergency services responded to a fire at a disused commercial property on Liverpool Road, Enfield.

Just after 4.40am, NSW Fire & Rescue officers extinguished the fire, which damaged numerous items, with minor smoke damage to the structure of the property.

Detectives from Burwood Police Area Command established a crime scene and commenced inquiries.

It’s believed a man entered the rear driveway of the property about 4am, and was last seen walking north on Angelo Street.

The man is described as being aged in his 30s to 40s, and with a large build. He was last seen wearing a hooded jumper, long pants, and runners, carrying a backpack.
