Police Appeal After Blacktown Break-In, Sexual Offenses

Police are appealing for information following an aggravated break and enter in Blacktown early Tuesday morning, during which a woman was sexually touched while asleep.

Police were told bout 1am on Tuesday 3 March 2026, an unknown man broke into a unit on Fifth Avenue, Blacktown.

Police have been told the man entered the bedroom and sexually touched the female resident, a woman in her 30s, while she was asleep.

Officers from Blacktown Police Area Command attended and established a crime scene.

Detectives, assisted by State Crime Command Sex Crimes Squad, have commenced an investigation under Strike Force Vebrom.

The man is described as being of thin build, aged in his 20s, about 160cm tall, with short hair.

As inquiries continue, detectives have identified other similar incidents spanning back to December 2025, where underwear has been stolen from a clothesline, and a man was reported to be looking through a window on Fifth Avenue.
