Police appeal after caravan fire - Chippendale

Police are appealing for public assistance following a suspicious fire that destroyed a caravan in inner-Sydney in May.

About 1.30pm on Saturday 9 May 2020, emergency services were called to Pine Street, Chippendale, after reports that a white caravan trailer was on fire.

Officers attached to South Sydney Police Area Command established a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the cause of the blaze.

As inquiries continue, police have released vision and would like to speak to a man who may be able to assist with their investigation.

The man is described as being of Caucasian appearance, approximately 170cm tall and is depicted in the footage with short, dark hair and a shaved face. At the time, was wearing an orange, high-visibility shirt and grey coloured shorts. He is believed to speak with an Irish or English accent.
