Police appeal after indecent assault on bus - City to Rouse Hill

Police have released CCTV images following investigations into an alleged indecent assault on a bus earlier this year.

About 7.40pm on Thursday 11 April 2019, a 23-year-old woman boarded a 607X route Rouse Hill-bound bus at Town Hall.

Police have been told a man boarded the bus at Town Hall and sat next to the woman, before allegedly touching her inappropriately.

The woman fended off the man's advances before getting up and moving away from the man.

He was seen to leave the bus at the Merrivale T-Way bus stop.

The alleged incident was reported to officers from The Hills Police Area Command who commenced an investigation.

Following further inquiries, police believe the man may have been involved in another similar incident on the same bus route from July 2018.

Investigators have now released CCTV images of a man who they believe may be able to assist them with their inquiries.

He is described as being of Indian Sub-Continental appearance, about 30 to 40-years-old, with a thin build, small hands, black hair and a beard.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or use the Crime Stoppers online reporting page: https://nsw.crimestoppers.com.au/ Information you provide will be treated in the strictest of confidence.
