Police appeal after man stabbed in Ryde

Police are appealing for information after a man was stabbed in Ryde this morning.

Emergency services were called to Gale Street, near Constitution Road, about 3.00am (Tuesday 8 January 2019), following reports of a stabbing.

Officers from Ryde Police Area Command attended and found a 25-year-old man with wounds to his shoulder and stomach.

He was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Royal North Shore Hospital in a stable condition. His injuries are not considered life-threatening.

Police believe he may have been injured at another location.

As inquiries continue, anyone with information is urged to come forward.
