Police appeal for assistance to locate driver after pedestrian struck at Auburn

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate the driver of a car that struck a pedestrian at Auburn on the weekend.

About 6.45pm on Saturday 22 May 2021, a vehicle travelling west on Mary Street allegedly hit a pedestrian while turning into Dudley Street.

The driver stopped and rendered assistance to the injured 73-year-old man, however failed to exchange particulars.

The injured man was taken to Westmead Hospital and remains in a serious but stable condition.

Police are seeking assistance to locate the driver of a black Jeep Cherokee. He is described as being of African appearance, between 30 to 40 old, about 180cm tall with black hair and a beard.
