Police appeal for dashcam and pedestrian witnesses - Strike Force Pittendrigh

Police are renewing their appeal for public help to trace the last known movements of Central Coast woman, Devora Howard, whose body was located near a Central Coast boat ramp earlier this week.

About 7.10am on Tuesday 3 September, a local fisherman found the woman about 250 metres north of the Terrigal Haven boat ramp, Terrigal.

She has since been identified as 56-year-old Devora Howard of Wamberal; she was last seen wearing white jeans and a grey jumper.

Detectives from Brisbane Water Police District have established Strike Force Pittendrigh to investigate the circumstances surrounding Devora's death.

At this time, police are seeking information from anyone who was driving or walking on Pacific Street, Terrigal at any time on Tuesday 3 September up until midday (12pm).

Detectives are interested in any witnesses or dashcam footage of Pacific Street headed towards the southern end of the street, towards Terrigal Lagoon.

Brisbane Water Police District Crime Manager, Detective Chief Inspector Steve Laksa said any information could help determine Devora's final movements.

"Any information, no matter how trivial it is considered to be, may assist investigators.

"Anyone who may have entered the street that day, either by car or by foot, please contact Gosford Police Station on 4323 5599 or call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000," Det Ch Insp Laksa said.
