Police appeal for information after man stabbed - Corrimal

Police are appealing for the public's assistance after a man was stabbed in the Wollongong area overnight.

About 11.45pm yesterday (Saturday 19 June 2021), a man was walking along Collins Street, Corrimal, when he was confronted by approximately 10 people.

A physical altercation has occurred, with the man sustaining a stab wound to his abdomen.

Paramedics treated the 18-year-old man at the scene, before he was taken to Wollongong Hospital in a stable condition.

Officers attached to Wollongong Police District have commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

They are appealing for anyone with information – or mobile phone and dashcam footage – to contact Wollongong Police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
