Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was hospitalised following an assault in the CBD.
About 2.30am last Saturday (23 November 2019), two men were walking down Park Street, when one of them was struck from behind by another man.
The man was unconscious for several minutes as members of the public rendered assistance and contacted emergency services.
He was taken to hospital suffering severe facial injuries and concussion.
Officers from Sydney City Police Area Command commenced an investigation and are appealing to the public for information.
As part of their investigation, police have released an image of a man they believe can assist with inquiries.
