Police appeal for Information - Assault - Jingili

Northern Territory Police are calling for witnesses to an alleged assault that occurred in Jingili last week.

Detective Acting Senior Sergeant Matt Allen said police were called at approximately 1am on Thursday, 1 November to a report of an assault, Northern Territory Police say

"Detectives are seeking public assistance to identify the persons involved in the assault.

"We believe that there are those in the community who will know who these people are."

Investigators are also attempting to locate a white Toyota Landcruiser utility and a white Toyota twin cab Hilux that were in the area at the time of the incident.

Detective Acting Senior Sergeant Allen said the victim died in hospital the next evening as a result of a pre-existing health condition.

Officers are appealing for anyone with information to contact police on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers anonymously.
