Police appeal for witnesses following Ballarat collision

Police are appealing for witnesses following a collision that has left a man with life-threatening injuries in Ballarat this afternoon, Victoria Police say.

Emergency services were called to the two car collision on Geelong Road just after 1pm.

It is believed a green VL Commodore sedan was travelling south on Geelong Road when it collided head-on with a grey Subaru Impreza travelling north.

The driver of the Commodore, a 35-year-old Wendouree man, was airlifted to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

His passenger, a 34-year-old Wendouree woman, was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

The driver of the Subaru, a 52-year-old Buninyong woman, was also taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Ballarat Highway Patrol officers are investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision and are keen to speak to any witnesses or anyone that may have seen the vehicles prior to the collision.
