Police appeal to find elderly man missing from Carlingford 12 July

Police are appealing for public assistance to find an elderly man reported missing from Carlingford.

Jianhua Ma, aged 80, was last seen at his home on Adderton Road, Carlingford, about 9.30am today (Tuesday 12 July 2022).

Officers from Cumberland Police Area Command were notified and commenced extensive inquiries into his whereabouts and have since issued an SMS geo-targeting alert.

Police and family hold serious concerns for Jianhua's welfare as he lives with dementia and does not speak English.

Jianhua is described as being of Asian appearance, about 160cm tall, of thin build, and with grey hair. He walks with stoop and a walking stick.

He was last seen wearing a blue chequered flannelette shirt and a large, brimmed straw hat.
