Police appeal to find missing man - Thornleigh

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a man missing from Sydney's upper north shore.

Mr Thomas McDonald, aged 69, was last seen leaving a care facility on Hillmont Avenue, Thornleigh, about 8pm last night (Thursday 7 October 2021) heading west towards Pennant Hills Road.

Officers from Kuring-Gai Police Area Command were contacted and commenced an investigation into Thomas's whereabouts.

Police hold concerns for his welfare due to him living with dementia and him having a number of medical conditions.

He is known to frequent the Thornleigh and West Leigh areas.

Thomas is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 180cm tall, slim build and balding.

He was wearing a white and blue shirt with navy-coloured blue pants.
