Police appeal to locate elderly man missing from Cabarita

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a man missing from Cabarita.

Wing Chiu Kung, aged 83, was last seen on Belmore Street, Burwood, about 1.30pm today (Tuesday 21 June 2022).

When he failed to return home, officers from Burwood Police Area Command were notified and commenced inquiries into his whereabouts.

Concerns are held for Wing Chiu's welfare as he lives with dementia and also requires medication.

Wing Chiu is described as being of Asian appearance, of slim build, about 150cm tall with grey hair. He does not speak English and only speaks Cantonese.

He was last seen wearing a green jacket and dark blue trousers.

Wing Chiu is known to frequent the Cabarita and Burwood areas.

Anyone with information regarding Wing Chiu's whereabouts is urged to contact police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
