Police appeal to locate elderly woman missing from Ashfield

Police are appealing for public assistance to help locate an elderly woman missing in Sydney's inner west.

Tasia Diniotis, aged 88, last spoke to her family via phone about 4pm yesterday (Monday 21 March 2022).

When Tasia failed to return to her home on Queen Street, Ashfield, as planned, she was reported missing to officers from Burwood Police Area Command about 5.30pm today (Tuesday 22 March 2022), who commenced inquiries into her whereabouts.

Police and family hold concerns for Tasia's welfare due to her age.

Tasia is described as being of Mediterranean appearance, about 160cm tall, of medium build with brown hair and grey roots.

Tasia is known to take long walks and frequents the Canterbury area.
