Police appeal to locate girl missing from Lugarno

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a girl missing from the St George area in Sydney's south.

Liana Hemopo-Carlson, aged 15, was last seen at 1.10pm in the Kogarah area.

When she failed to return home and she was unable to be located or contacted, officers attached to St George Police Area Command were notified and commenced inquiries to locate her.

Family and police hold concerns for her welfare due to her age.

Liana is described as Maori/Islander appearance, with a tan complexion, about 160cm tall, of slim build, with long brown hair and brown eyes.

She was last seen wearing blue jeans, a dark long sleeve top, dark sneakers with golden shoelaces and white shoes.

She is known to frequent the Surry Hills, Central, Hurstville and Cronulla areas.

Anyone with information about Liana's whereabouts is urged to contact Kogarah Police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
