Police Appeal To Locate Man Missing From Newington 2 December

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a man last seen in Sydney's west.

Thierry Empeigne, also known as Joseph, aged 43, was last seen at Newington about 8.00am yesterday

(Monday 1 December 2025).

When he could not be located or contacted, officers attached to Auburn Police Area Command were notified and commenced inquiries into his whereabouts.

Family and police hold concerns for Thierry's welfare as his disappearance is out of character.

Thierry is described as being of Middle Eastern/Mediterranean appearance, about 180cm tall, thin build, fair complexion, with short black hair, a beard and a moustache and brown-coloured eyes.

He was last seen wearing a black and yellow T-shirt, black shorts and a black cap.

It is believed he might be driving a 2017 white coloured Lexus RX350 wagon, with NSW registration

Thierry is known to frequent the Blue Mountains, Sydney CBD, Ryde and Newington areas.
