Police Appeal To Locate Man Missing From Fairfield 19 January

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a man missing from Sydney's west.

David Trinder, aged 87, was last seen on Wilga Street, Fairfield, about 2pm yesterday (Sunday 18 January 2026).

Unable to be located or contacted since, officers attached to Fairfield City Police Area Command were notified and commenced inquiries into his whereabouts.

Family and police hold concerns for David's welfare as he lives dementia and requires regular medical treatment.

David is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 180cm – 185cm tall, of thin build, with grey hair.

He was last seen wearing mustard yellow pants, a dark grey and blue jumper, a dark raincoat, and black shoes.

David is known to frequent the Fairfield area; however, may be in the Westmead area but he also uses public transport to travel around Sydney.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact Fairfield City Police Area Command or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
