Police appeal to locate man missing from Yamba

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a man missing from the state's mid north coast.

Douglas Lucas, aged 65, was last heard from about 9pm on Monday 5 June 2023. It is believed he purchased a bus ticket on Monday 5 June 2023, with the intention of travelling to Brunswick Heads on Tuesday 6 June 2023.

When he did not arrive and could not be contacted, officers attached to Coffs/Clarence Police District were notified and commenced inquiries into his whereabouts.

Police hold serious concerns for his welfare.

Douglas is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 170cm tall, of medium build, with brown hair and green eyes.

He is known to frequent the Yamba area.

Anyone with information into his whereabouts is urged to call police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
