Angling clubs will be upgrading facilities, growing membership and expanding community programs thanks to the Caroll Labor Government.
Minister for Ports and Freight Melissa Horne announced 38 fishing clubs and associations will share in nearly $300,000 in grants awarded from the Stronger Fishing Club Grants program.
Nearly $1.2 million has been invested into 138 clubs and associations, with the first two rounds delivering a combined $900,000 in funding to 100 clubs and associations.
The grants are funded by recreational fishing licence fees, as part of the Labor Government's $96 million Go Fishing and Boating plan.
Grants of up to $10,000 were available to help increase club membership and promote participation in recreational fishing - including boat refurbishments, fishing gear, signage, IT equipment and club room repairs.
