Police Appeal To Locate Man With Dementia - Blackett

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a man reported missing in Sydney's west.

Mahara Dean, aged 73, was last seen on Manifold Road, Blackett, about 9.30am today (Monday 26 May 2025).

When he could not be located or contacted, officers attached to Mount Druitt Police Area Command were notified and commenced inquiries into his whereabouts.

Police and family hold serious concerns for his welfare as he lives with dementia.

Mahara is described as being of Pacific Islander appearance with dark brown complexion, about 175cm tall with medium build, and has a grey beard and short grey hair.

He has tattoos on both arms and was last seen wearing grey tracksuit pants and a t-shirt.

He is known to frequent the Tregear and Bidwill areas.
