Police Appeal To Locate Man With Dementia At Pocket

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a man missing from the state's North Coast.

Stuart Elliot, aged 77, was last seen at an address on The Pocket Road, The Pocket, about 1pm today (Saturday 23 August 2025).

When he could not be located, officers attached to Tweed/Byron Police District were notified and commenced inquiries into his whereabouts.

Police and family hold concerns for his welfare as he lives with dementia.

Stuart is described as being of Caucasian appearance, with white hair and glasses.

He was last seen wearing a yellow, red and blue striped shirt with a green vest, and grey pants.

Anyone who sees Stuart, or has information into his whereabouts, is urged to call 000 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
