Police appeal to locate missing 81-year-old man from Hurstville

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a man missing from Sydney's south.

Samir Abdel-Sayed, aged 81, was last seen in Hurstville about 10.30am today (Sunday 27 November 2022).

When he failed to return home and family were unable to contact him officers from St George Local Area Command were contacted and immediately commenced inquiries to locate him.

Samir is described as Mediterranean/Middle Eastern appearance, 180cm tall, solid build, white hair and grey moustache.

He was wearing a red vest, stripped shirt and dark grey pants.

Police and family hold serious concerns for Samir's welfare as he lives with dementia.

He is known to frequent the Hurstville and surrounding areas.

Anyone who sees Samir is urged to contact Hurstville Police Station or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
