Police appeal to locate missing 82-year-old man - Burwood PAC

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a man missing from the Burwood area.

Angelos Hiotis aged 82, was last seen leaving his home on in Rodd Point about 10.45am today (Saturday 30 April 2022), to go for a walk.

When he failed to return home, police were notified, and officers from Burwood Police Area Command commenced inquiries into his whereabouts.

Police and family have concerns for Mr Hiotis's welfare due to his age.

Mr Hiotis is described as being of Caucasian appearance with a thin build, about 170cm tall with short grey/white hair and a trimmed beard.

He was last seen wearing bone-coloured shorts, a blue T-shirt, a navy-blue zip-up jumper, grey joggers and he was carrying an umbrella.

Anyone with information regarding Mr Hiotis's whereabouts is urged to contact either Burwood Police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
