Police Appeal To Locate Missing Boy - Greenacre

Bankstown Police are seeking help to find a boy who has gone missing from Greenacre.

James McFarland, aged 11, was last seen about 1pm today (Monday 26 January 2026) leaving a home in Greenacre.

When he was unable to be located or contacted, officers attached to Bankstown Police Area Command were notified and commenced inquiries into her whereabouts.

Police and family hold serious concerns for James' welfare due to his age.

He is described as being Pacific islander appearance, with a medium to dark complexion, about 120cm tall, thin build with brown eyes. He was last seen wearing green t-shirt and blue shorts.

James is non-verbal and lives with autism and is not familiar with the Greenacre area.

James may possibly be in the Greenacre, South Strathfield, Campsie, Lakemba or Croydon Park areas.

Anyone with information into his whereabouts is urged to call Bankstown Police Station or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
