Police appeal to locate missing teenage girl - Berala

Police are appealing for public assistance to help locate a teenage girl missing from Berala.

Leilani Peato, aged 15, was last seen at Berala Railway Station on her way to school on Wednesday 2 March 2022.

When Leilani did not attend school, she was reported missing to police.

Officers attached to Auburn Police Area Command have since commenced an investigation into her whereabouts.

Police and family hold concerns for Leilani's welfare.

Leilani is described as being of Maori/ Pacific Islander appearance, 170cm – 175cm tall, of medium build, with black hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing her school uniform of dark blue pants and a white shirt, carrying a green bag.

Initial inquiries suggest Leilani boarded a train at Blacktown Railway Station on Thursday 3 March 2022.

She is known to frequent the Doonside, Blacktown and Lidcombe areas.

Anyone with information about Leilani's whereabouts is urged to contact police.
