Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a teenager from Sydney's west

Abdul Rahman - aged 13 - was last seen at a home on Moxham Street, North Parramatta about 6.30pm yesterday (Friday 31 December 2021).

When Abdul failed to return or contact family members, officers attached to Cumberland Police Area Command were notified this morning (Saturday 1 January 2022), and commenced inquiries into his whereabouts.

Police hold serious concerns for Abdul's welfare due to his age, and his disappearance being out of character.

Abdul is described as being of Middle Eastern/Mediterranean appearance, about 150cm tall, of thin build, with short black hair.

He was last seen wearing a red 'Emirates' cap, a cream-coloured t-shirt with navy and red shorts. At the time he was riding a bike with no helmet.

Abdul is known to frequent the Telopea and Parramatta areas.

Anyone who sees Abdul or has information about his whereabouts is urged to contact police immediately.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers: 1800 333 000 or https://nsw.crimestoppers.com.au. Information is treated in strict confidence. The public is reminded not to report information via NSW Police social media pages.
