Police appeal to locate teenage girl missing from Coffs Harbour

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a teenage girl missing from the state's mid north coast.

Vanessa McInnes, aged 13, was last seen leaving a home on Deborah Close, Coffs Harbour, about 4.30pm yesterday (Friday 26 August 2022).

When she did not return, police attached to Coffs-Clarence Police District were notified and commenced inquiries into her whereabouts.

Police and family hold serious concerns for Vanessa's welfare due to her age.

Vanessa is described as being of Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander appearance, about 160cm tall, of medium build, with long dark hair.

She was last seen wearing a black track pants, a pink t-shirt and a navy-blue jumper.

Anyone with information into Vanessa's whereabouts is urged to contact Riverstone Police Station or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
