Police appeal to locate woman missing from Lithgow

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a woman missing from Lithgow.

Sandi Banks-Smith, aged 71, was last seen at Lithgow Railway Station about 6pm yesterday (Friday 30 September 2022).

When she could not be contacted or located, officers from Chifley Police District were notified and commenced inquiries into her whereabouts.

Police and family hold concerns for Sandi's welfare as she lives with a medical condition for which she requires regular medication.

Initial inquiries have led police to believe Sandi may have disembarked a train at Central Railway Station about 10.25pm last night, before travelling towards the Blue Mountains where she may have disembarked at Mount Victoria Station about 1.35am today (Sunday 1 October 2022).

Sandi is described as being of Caucasian appearance, between 170cm to 175cm tall, of thin build, with blonde hair and green eyes.

She was last seen wearing black tights, a black hooded jacket, black slippers with a white wool trim, and a white face mask.

Anyone who may have seen Sandi or may know her whereabouts is urged to contact police.
