Police are responding to fatal collision at Rokewood

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a fatal collision which occurred in Rokewood this evening.

Investigators have been told a cyclist was riding west along Rokewood-Skipton Road about 9.30pm.

A white Toyota dual cab ute, which was also travelling west, collided with the cyclist.

The rider, believed to be a man in his 50s, died at the scene.

The driver of the car, a man in his 20s, is currently assisting police with their enquires.

Detectives from Major Collision Investigation Unit will attend the scene.

Investigators wish to speak to anyone who may have seen the cyclist or ute prior to the collision, or anyone who witnessed the incident, or with dashcam footage.
