Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding a fatal collision in Ballarat this evening.
It is believed a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle in a Peel Street carpark about 6:35pm.
The yet-to-formally be identified pedestrian died at the scene.
The driver of the vehicle stopped at the scene.
The circumstances surrounding the crash are yet to be established and the investigation is ongoing.
