Emergency services have responded to a two-car collision in Kaarimba this afternoon.
It's believed the vehicles collided head-on on Barmah-Shepparton Road just after 4.30pm.
The yet to be identified driver, and sole occupant of one of the vehicles, has died at the scene.
The yet to be identified driver of the other vehicle, also the sole occupant, has been airlifted to hospital in a critical condition.
Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives are en route to establish the exact circumstances of the collision.
