Police are currently at the scene of a fatal collision in Point Cook.
It is believed a man had parked in the emergency lane of the Princes Freeway near Princes Highway when he was struck by a car just after 4.30pm.
The yet to be identified man died at the scene.
The driver of the car was not physically injured and is assisting police with their enquiries.
The exact cause of the collision is yet to be determined at this stage.
