Police are responding to fatal collision in Trafalgar

A man has died following a collision in Trafalgar this morning.

Police and emergency services were called to the Princes Highway following reports of a collision between a motorbike and truck about 5.08am.

The rider of the bike, a 45-year-old man from Morwell, died at the scene.

The truck driver, a 78-year-old man from Trafalgar, stopped at the scene and is assisting police with enquiries.

The highway is currently closed to east bound traffic and traffic is being bypassed through Trafalgar.

Police will investigate the cause of the collision.
