A teenage girl has died following a crash in Sydney's south west overnight.
About 8pm yesterday, Thursday 8 January 2026, emergency services responded to a crash on Appin Road, Appin.
Officers attached to Campbelltown City Police Area Command, found two vehicles had collided.
The driver of a Toyota Hilux utility, a 22-year-old man, suffered minor injuries and was taken to Campbelltown Hospital under police guard for mandatory testing.
The four occupants of a Mazda sedan were treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics with the driver, a 46-year-old man taken to Liverpool Hospital in a critical condition.
A 30-year-old woman was also taken to Liverpool Hospital in a critical condition.
A 17-year-old girl died at the scene.
A 12-year-old boy received minor injuries and was taken to Westmead Hospital.
The Crash Investigation Unit has commenced an investigation into the cause of the crash.
A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
